What's God Doing?

We are all given gifts from the Holy Spirit at baptism. Many of us are too young to know or use those gifts, but you still have them. They are; Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety and Fear of the Lord. How do those gifts show up in your life today? What gift are you leaning on now?

Gratitude: it has a healing power all its own. What are you grateful for? What challenges do you face? What is the gratitude that comes from the challenge?

What is God doing in you? Are you embracing or resisting His work?

These are the questions I’m going to work through in my silence this week. Please share your reactions to the questions in the comments because we learn from one another. Learning can be frustrating and sometimes I’d rather stick my head in the sand, ignore it and wait for it to go away. Do you ever feel like that? Reflecting like this is like a mirror for me, I walk by and glance to check my appearance, maybe fix my hair or put on some lipstick but I don’t often get up close and LOOK. There is too many things I don’t like or don't want to see (or take the time to see), but I can’t change so it’s best not to look too closely. The thing is, I can change the things that God is moving me to change, if I stop and LOOK.

Sundays during Lent we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord so we put down our Lenten fasts to be taken up again on Monday morning. We don't do any servile type work and we have a family dinner with as family members as I can get around the table! This Sunday was especially nice because we all had dinner at Nana & Papa's house and all but one of my kids was present. It is rare and wonderful when I get them all, but like I said, I'll take what I can get. It was a wonderful day.
